Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Selective Building Demolition: a.Selective demolition of interior partitions, systems, and building components designated to be removed. For areas where the plans indicate relocation work, including those labeled and not specifically labeled as “to be relocated,” items of salvage value should be properly stored for relocation and reuse. Such items may include doors, lighting, vents, electrical, motors, controls, or other such item that can be relocated. Salvaged materials are to be identified and inspected prior to demolition activities for quality of condition and approved for reuse prior to re-installation. Storage of these items shall not damage, warp, or cause these items to be rejected for reuse. b.Protection of portions of building adjacent to or affected by selective demolition. All reasonable care should be taken to protect all adjacent surfaces including flooring, walls, ceiling, finishes, and utilities. c.Notification to Owner of schedule of shut-off of utilities which serve occupied spaces. Interruption, capping or removal of utilities as applicable. Do not interrupt utilities serving occupied or used facilities without the written permission of the Owner and authorities having jurisdiction. If necessary, provide temporary utilities. d.Pollution control during selective demolition, including noise control. Also to include areas outside the immediate work areas but utilized by construction activities. e.Do not close or obstruct streets, walks, drives or other occupied or used spaces or facilities without the written permission of the Owner and the authorities having jurisdiction. f.Cease operations if public safety or remaining structures are endangered. Perform temporary corrective measures until operations can be continued properly. g.Removal and legal disposal of materials. 2. Interior Finishes:a.Interior finishes are mainly “match existing.” As such, an exact match may not be possible. Therefore, samples of all finishes including relevant material documents, “shop drawings,” are to be provided to City for final approval. Submittal of these should consider 2-weeks for review, comment, and approval in addition to order, delivery, preparation and acclimation time necessary to not cause construction schedule delays. b.These finishes shall include all visible flooring, paint, trim, hardware, covers, vents, switches, fixtures, signage and any other such item not listed here.
