Summary of Specifications:
The Bay County Board of County Commissioners is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified firms to provide Architectural and Engineering Design Services for a wind retrofit project on the Fire Station located at 4024 Holiday Dr., Panama City Beach, FL 32408. The design shall provide for the protection of the facility from hurricane winds and wind borne debris and shall include the installation of impact resistant windows, doors and vents, and a standing seam metal roof system so as to prevent the building from being penetrated, pressurized, and the roof being lifted from its foundation. The design shall also incorporate the installation of an emergency generator system. A forensic study will be required as part of the design services in order to determine the existing building’s construction. The project is being funded by Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Funds FEMA Project Number: 4138-14-R. It is preferable that the design shall be completed 30 calendar days prior to HMGP expiration date of December 4, 2015.
