Specifications include, but are not limited to: Operate a comprehensive school program for students who have been placed by a District Team or otherwise excluded from the traditional school setting. Services to be included are the following: 1. Utilize evidence-based practices to serve the whole child, including academic, behavioral and/or social emotional methods that best meet the needs of individual students. 2. Utilize blended learning approaches and instructional methods to effectively and efficiently engage students through a personalized experience. This includes integration of technology which allows students to learn in authentic and meaningful ways. Educational programs utilized that are different than the District’s must be evidencedbased, support the Common Core State Standards and approved by the district Directors of Curriculum & Instruction and Special Education. 3. Assist in development of, implemented and monitored through data collection, a comprehensive individual service and support plan for students which include academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals and benchmarks. Students with IEPs must be provided access to the general education curriculum and in addition, provided speciallydesigned instruction according to their individualized plan
