Specifications include, but are not limited to: The main task of the Voice of DSU Athletics-Promotions is to entertain an audience during any given athletics event. To fill the time, this personality/ firm can present skits, take input from the audience or interview special guests. Essential Functions The following are the functions essential to performing responsibility: 1. Assist with the planning and implementation of large athletic game day events 2. Make personal appearances to promote DSU Athletics 3. Comments on music and other matters of interest to audience 4. Research topics for comment and discussion during shows 5. Select program content in conjunction with Sports Information Director 6. Must be able to meet once a week during the game operations meeting during the football and basketball seasons. Other Functions Vendor selected for this assignment may be assigned one or more of the following tasks on a rotating or asneeded basis. 1. Make promotional appearances at public or private events 2. Meet with event directors to review schedules and obtain other event details 3. Must be able to run audio system with multiple microphones Essential Requirements to perform these assignments 1. Experience as an announcer, crowed management in a collegiate athletic settings. 2. Demonstrated organizational and leadership ability. Must be able to work many nights and weekends 3. Pleasant, charismatic and well-controlled voice; excellent pronunciation 4. Proficient in media production and broadcast systems 5. Understanding of Delaware State University/ any other Historically Black College or University athletic culture.
