Specifications include, but are not limited to: Delaware Technical Community College is proposing to renovate the mechanical and electrical systems at the Stanton campus. The system deficiencies require action as they have reached the end of their lifetime and play a crucial role in keeping Delaware Technical Community College’s students and staff safe and comfortable. The scope of this project will provide new and renovated systems for the following: - A wing heat pump replacement (73 water source heat pumps) - F wing (automotive) heat pump replacement (18 water source heat pumps) - Water cooled chiller replacement (2 York 300 ton units) - Replacement of existing Evapco cooling tower - Main electrical switchgear rehabilitation and maintenance - Interior and exterior lighting replacement and enhancements - Other miscellaneous mechanical and electrical renovations including plumbing and life safety Scope of Services System Study/Selection and Schematic Design During this phase, the selected firm shall coordinate with College staff to study the mechanical and electrical systems and develop various system options. This work shall include life cycle cost analysis of the various options. The team at this stage will consist of the following at a minimum: Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP), Architect and Structural Engineer (if required), and personnel identified by DTCC to be critical to the project. Construction budgets will play a significant role in final system selection. The selected firm will work closely with Campus and DTCC staff to develop a design that improves occupant comfort, energy efficiency, system reliability, and ease of maintenance.
