Specifications include, but are not limited to: o Identify out-of-state/city automobiles. o Determine if identified vehicles are not currently included upon the City tax rolls (as per City policy) o Once a suspected tax violator is identified, the contractor will draft correspondences to suspected violators on behalf of the Assessor. o Maintain all required documentation and correspondences related to each suspected tax violator. o Provide the City with the necessary documentation to add these violators to the appropriate tax rolls, as per City policy. This includes, but is not limited to, visual documentation, correspondences and an electronic database for conversion. o Provide necessary support in the event of any adverse court action brought about by these services. o Arrange to be on site at least one, public evening session per month for no less than three hours per session (preferably 4 pm to 7 pm, or 5 pm to 8 pm) throughout the year to meet with any tax payer who has received notice of discovery and would like to appeal such determination directly to city contractor. o Follow the City’s policy and procedures for any motor vehicle add-on to the City’s grand list.
