Replace culverts at MP 44.10, 48.53, 48.87, 48.92, 49.05, 49.15, and 49.20. Abandon in place existing culverts at MP 44.10, 48.65, 48.87, 48.92, 49.05, and 49.15. Install underdrain, subgrade, geogrid, sub ballast, and ballast for new Track 2. Install underdrain, subgrade, geogrid, sub ballast, and ballast for realigned CSO Suffield Branch up to Babylon Recycling switch. Construct new soldier pile and lagging retaining walls and tiebacks / soil nails Install underdrain, subgrade, geogrid, subballast, and ballast for realigned Track 1 Install underdrain, subballast, and ballast for new Amtrak access road west of Track 1 Remove fouled ballast and furnish and install new ballast to 4” below bottom of tie at all track installations. Install and maintain drainage swales adjacent to track shoulders and structures. Construct new pedestrian bridge across Windsor Locks canal north of Bridge St. GX Deconstruct, remove, and dispose of existing Amtrak station. Excavate, haul, and dispose earth and rock spoils. Remove waste and surplus material and dispose per regulatory requirements Manage and maintain waste stockpile areas. Perform masonry repair and clean culvert at MP 48.75. Submit engineering construction submittals and site-specific safety work plans Install cofferdam and temporary water handling measures Install temporary access roads as shown on the plans Install underground conduit casings for future power, express, and fiber optic cables Furnish and install communications and signals handholes Install temporary and permanent pavement at Bridge St. GX (intersection of state roads) Construct, maintain, and restore temporary laydown area(s). Coordinate and assist with installation of new or relocated utilities with public and private utility companies adjacent to project. Provide temporary protection and support of existing Amtrak signal, communication, and power as needed or shown on plans. Furnish and install underground conduit and concrete ductbanks as shown on plans. Construct concrete transformer pads. Furnish and install commercial power transformers onto pads. Install commercial power service from the meter to the transformer distribution panel and main breakers at GRAY and GARDEN interlockings and at the new M/W yard. Install all commercial power transformer disconnect switches / cutouts. Install underground conduit casings for future power, express, and fiber optic cables
