Specifications include, but are not limited to: These services shall include the provision of pens and runs, heat and ventilation, water, lighting, sanitation products and cleaning services, food and water containers, the storage of food and medicine, the preservation and removal of deceased animals, at least 1 isolation area, and quarantine areas, all pursuant to State requirements. The Vendor will ensure that “No dog may be impounded at a dog pound or facility which does not meet the requirements of State Statute, Agriculture Domestic Animals, Sections 22-336-13 to 22-336-29, inclusive, of these regulations, subjection to the provisions of State Statute Sections 22-336-30 of these regulations.” The Vendor will ensure that isolation areas and quarantined dogs must be constructed, maintained, and utilized pursuant explicitly to State Statute, Sections 22-358 or 22-359 C.G.S. The Vendor shall ensure that the detention and care of impounded animals is administered by a licensed veterinarian, or in a licensed veterinary hospital, licensed commercial kennel, a dog pound maintained by a city or town, or other suitable facility as approved by the State Commissioner. The Vendor shall be responsible for providing all of the aforementioned services in compliance with State Statutes.
