Specifications include, but are not limited to: For temporary pavement repairs, the contractor shall provide new bituminous concrete in the excavated area to a depth to match the existing pavement structure. For permanent repairs, the contractor shall sawcut and mill a uniform line to a depth of two inches (2”) a minimum of one-foot beyond the edge of the excavated material and provide new bituminous concrete placed in one two-inch (2”) compacted lift of Class 1 Bituminous Concrete over the existing or temporary bituminous concrete material. The unit price bids for temporary pavement repairs shall be for two inches (2”) for the Class 1 course and two inches (2”) for the Class 2 bituminous concrete course delivered and complete in place to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works or Town Engineer. Asphaltescalation costs shall be included in the unit price bid and shall not be considered or paid as a separate item.
