Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town of Brookfield Public Works Department is requesting hourly prices from qualified tree specialists to be applied towards a four (4) hour minimum for performing tree trimming and removal services on a as needed and called basis. Bidders must have a registered State of Connecticut Arborist on staff that would be assigned to our account as needed, required or requested. Vendors should provide proof of same with their proposal. Prices shall be for a 70 foot bucket truck and by the person per hour for additional ground persons. Bidders may submit the qualifications and years of service of all expected persons to be assigned to our account. While no volume of work can or will be guaranteed, the Town will typically require an estimated fifty days (50) days a year for use of a 70 foot bucket truck and an estimated 250 hours of manned crews. Beyond price, Safety of Operations of both the employee’s as well as to the general public are an important factor on the award. Vendors shall list any OSHA or other safety violations brought against them of the past five (5) years. The Town is stating the standard truck is to be a 70ft bucket truck. While larger trucks are acceptable, all bidders must have a minimum of a 70 foot bucket truck. Bidders may submit the rates for all equipment of their inventory as may be offered. Price comparisons for the award will be based only upon the pricing of a 70ft bucket truck, along with the requested hourly manpower rates for ground personal. While the Town will make reasonable efforts to group work into 8 hour day increments, occasions and situations may arise for both shorter and longer work situations. Emergency Work : Bidders shall state the expected and typical response times for being in Brookfield from the time of notice for sudden and unexpected emergency situations as may arise, including after hours and weekends, and shall list any rate adjustments that might apply.
