Specifications include, but are not limited to: • marketing the available properties during the construction;• prepare all listing documents and MLS services;• display “For Sale” signs at the construction and/or property sites; pre-sell new construction• pre-screen and pre-qualify potential buyers with LCI criteria for affordability and income eligibility• ability to aid with credit restoration/repair.• arrange for potential buyers to attend a HUD certified First-time homebuyer class or agency is an HUD certified homebuyer counselor;• assist the City of New Haven in determining fair-market value of properties;• coordinate the viewing of properties to potential buyers, mortgage brokers, bank appraisers, inspectors and other interested parties; and• explain in detail the process to potential buyers as they move through city-sponsored programs promoting affordable homeownership. • Assist homebuyer with any other down payment and closing cost financial assistance available through the City of New Haven or other programs.
