Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. The work to be performed includes the testing for asbestos, lead, PCB’s and mold. The Contractor shall provide a full inspection and analysis report to meet AHERA standards regarding materials containing asbestos, lead and/or mold found in or on buildings identified by the New Haven Public Schools. The Contractor shall develop bid specifications for asbestos, lead and or mold removal for each building where asbestos, and/or mold has been detected by the Contractor or school. Each Bidder shall have State of Connecticut Licensed Asbestos and Lead Inspectors under the direction of a Certified Industrial Hygienist. b. Contractor must have 20 years of professional experience providing the following environmental services to public schools and municipalities. 1. Public Health Consulting. 2. Occupational safety and health consulting. 3. School Inspections 4. Drinking water evaluations. 5. Laboratory safety evaluations. 6. Indoor Air quality and mold evaluations. 7. School AHERA Asbestos inspections. c. Each bidder shall have the following staff available. 1. Licensed on-staff Certified Hygienist (CIH) 2. Licensed on-staff Certified Safety Professional (CSP) 3. Licensed on-staff Registered Sanitarian (RS) 4. On-staff employee with a Masters of Public Health (MPH) 5. On-staff Certified Microbial Consultant (CMC) 6. On-staff Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) 7. On-staff or consulting Licensed Engineering Professional (LEP) 8. On-staff licensed lead inspectors, asbestos inspectors, asbestos management planners, lead designers, asbestos designers and asbestos project monitors. 9. On-staff licensed/certified Radon inspectors. d. All samples must be analyzed in NVLAP Certified, AIHA Accredited and State of Connecticut Licensed Laboratories. e. Bidder must have the ability to manage (5) projects simultaneously.
