Specifications include, but are not limited to: Work shall consist of removing selected trees throughout the Town of Fairfield. The Contractor shall bid a lump sum price for removing all trees listed. Each tree shall be removed completely and ground down to at least six (6”) inches below grade. Stump hole shall be loamed to grade and grass seed applied. Grass areas are to be raked and pavement areas are to be blown clean of wood debris with a leaf blower. All wood shall be removed from the site within three (3) days. All bidders must attach a list with their proposal, detailing all equipment to be used to fulfill the contract, including manufacturers, models and capacities (where applicable). All vehicles, equipment, and tools shall be in good operating condition, and shall comply with all laws and regulations of the State of Connecticut. The successful Contractor may substitute equipment in the event of a break-down/equipment failure. Safety standards shall adhere to ANSI Z-133 Standards The Contractor shall be paid in a lump sum figure for all work, including all trees listed below, per the bid proposal form. Due to timing, a portion of the payment (5%) will be held for loam and seeding until completed. All work shall be completed within eight (8) weeks from the notice to proceed.
