Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Rescue Boat shall be double hull designed and must include an interlocking straight gunwale rail on sides, front and rear, designed so that two or more boats may be rigidly connected end-to-end-front of one to back of another. They must connect rigidly across the rear with the specified outboard motor installed without contact between the front of the boat and rear of motor; also, side-to-side and end-to-side. The design must accommodate the assembly of a floating work platformof various shapes and any size using multiples of boats. Hollow posts at each corner must support vertical attachments. The Boat shall include a system for securing any gear anywhere inside; include built-in foam for redundant buoyancy; United States Coast Guard (USCG) navigation lights; and American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) safety certified wiring harnesses.
