A. Work Included: 1. Furnish pumping equipment and appurtenances, as specified herein and as required for a complete installation. 1.2 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. All pumping equipment shall be designed, constructed, installed and tested in accordance with the best practice, methods and the standards of the Hydraulic Institute. B. All rotodynamic pumps shall be tested in accordance with ANSI/HI 14.6. If an acceptance grade is not specified for a specific rotodynamic pump, the pump must meet the default acceptance grade based on the intended service outlined in ANSI/HI 14.6 Table 14.6.4. C. Additional performance requirements are outlined in pump specifications. 11 1. Pumps shall meet all performance requirements listed in this specification, and associated specifications. 2. In the event that the pump(s) equipment fails to meet the performance requirements specified, the Owner shall have the right to require the Manufacturer to modify or replace the pumping equipment to enable said system to meet the performance requirements specified. 3. A second test, and any subsequent tests as may be necessary to ensure compliance with the Specifications shall be performed at no additional cost to the Owner. 4. All costs arising from project delays caused by failure to meet the performance requirements specified herein shall be borne by the Manufacturer and shall be responsible to the Owner for any liquidated damages incurred due to any delay in passing all factory testing. D. Only pumping units having wire-to-water efficiencies within a reputable manufacturer's equipment range of efficiencies will be accepted.
