1. DESCRIPTION OF GOODS AND SERVICES Contractor shall provide Conversion-Coated Aluminum Coil (“Coil(s)”) substrate material to be suitable for the use in the manufacture of reflectorized multi-year motor vehicle license plates for the Client Agency Chesire Correctional Facility. 2. ALUMINUM REQUIREMENTS The aluminum must be produced with the following properties: a. Alloy-Temper: 3105-H21 b. Thickness: .032” + .0015”-.0015” c. Width (Standard Size) 12” + 1/32”- 0 7-3/32” + 1/32” – 0 d. Ultimate Strength 17,000 to 23,000 psi e. Minimum Yield Strength 12,000 psi f. Elongation on 2” Standard Specimen 16 Min./ 20 Typical g. Quality To withstand embossing with all steel dies at 3/32” height without breaking, cutting or appreciable plate warping. h. Front Surface Finish & Backside Treated with Bonderite M-CR 1430c coating to provide for the proper level of adhesion of reflective license plate sheeting. Coating to be free of any powdery residue, oil, and other foreign material, which may affect adhesion of reflective sheeting. i. Backside Surface Finish Treated with Bonderite M-CR 1430c coating to protect the backside surface as well as provide protection to frontside conversion coated surface. Finish must be free of any powdery residue, oil, and other foreign material, which may affect adhesion of reflective sheeting.
