Description

The Town of Lyons has acquired Federal funding through the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) for design of Third Avenue drainage improvements design. For this design, the Town looks to minimize the length and size of the new storm sewer due to shallow bedrock, existing utilities, and cost and utilize the street and R.O.W. to safely convey the major event where possible. That said, the Town does intend to have new storm sewer installed to help convey minor events and capture nuisance flows at roadway intersections.

Event Note

The Town of Lyons has received Safe Routes to School project in the same location of the BRIC stormwater project. The SRTS desing pre-prosal meeting will be held at 1:00 and then the BRIC stormwater project will be held directly after at 1:30, then an optional site walk for both projects will start around 2:00. It may be important to attend to see design limits for each project as they will need to tie together.
