19-AVWL-01 - APPLE VALLEY WATERLINE RELOCATION

This project is for the resilience of Lyons' main potable water line. The Town's potable water line runs from a one million gallon tank through the Apple Valley area. The water line runs along the N. St Vrain Creek, crossing the creek in several locations. During the 2013 flood the water line was damaged in at least two areas of the pipe shutting off water service to the residents in the Town of Lyons and in Apple Valley. FEMA has funded repair of the existing lineand Town will relocate this water line away from the creek to run along Apple Valley Road. This will minimize the risk of future damage to the line due to flood.
