Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Perform general construction work at various Larimer County Facilities locations upon request. 2. Most work requests will be for interior work; however, some requests may be for exterior work. 3. It is anticipated that the majority of the work will be miscellaneous remodeling projects that may include mechanical and electrical installation, plumbing, general carpentry, painting, HVAC, tile work, drywall, framing-out of new walls, ceilings, flooring, doors, door hardware installation, roofing, and renovation. 4. Projects may also include wood and steel stud framing, block and brick, exterior siding, windows, shingling, metal work, non-structural and structural demolition, and other miscellaneous types of work as needed. 5. All work must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Construction guidelines, as well as all local and national codes adopted by the local permitting agency where work is being performed. 6. Work may be required on County-designated-holidays as needed to accommodate operational commitments to the citizens of Larimer County. 7. Quality control inspections must be performed on all projects. 8. If any project exceeds $50,000.00, then Payment and Performance Bonds must be submitted to Larimer County prior to the project commencing. 8.1. The Payment and Performance Bonds shall be in the amount equal to fifty percent (50%) of the maximum amount payable for that specific project. 8.2. Larimer County will reimburse the Contractor the cost associated with acquiring Payment and Performance Bonds when the project is complete and final settlement has been satisfied. 9. Services will be provided as established by a Larimer County work request. 9.1. The Contractor will respond to each request with a breakdown of the estimated cost, a proposed schedule, and a brief proposal of the proposed materials and methods for Larimer County review and approval. 10. All work will be performed in accordance with Larimer County’s accepted standards for work of a similar nature, meaning that the work must be similar or equal to the existing building’s fit, form, and function.
