Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is seeking proposals for a System-wide Communications Tool for the benefit of any or all of its thirteen colleges and CCCOnline. The communication tool will be used for non-emergency notifications to students and staff. Post-secondary institutions have several specific and unique needs, such as: flexible service and pricing structure to accommodate multi-departmental, decentralized use; department-specific or use-specific pricing structure; and a focus on text messaging/e-mail/voice features to meet the segmented needs of delivery to college-age recipients. The system will allow authorized staff to communicate important, time-sensitive information to all students. Messages may be sent to telephones, cell phones (voice and text) or email. CCCS will not entertain any system that requires the purchase or installation of any hardware, software, or phone lines, whether onsite or offsite. Therefore we are only considering hosted, software as a service, or cloud-based systems. Although CCCS is releasing this proposal, the vendor must be able and willing to support all thirteen community colleges and their multiple campuses, as well as the CCCS system.
