Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Colorado is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced consulting firms with extensive knowledge and relationships within the Department of Defense & national securities. The Successful Bidder will be expected to provide consultant and training services, as part of a team approach that will complement CU Anschutz and OGR’s current activities. Services provided by the firm must supplement, and not duplicate, the efforts of CU OGR. The firm will work directly with and report to the CU OGR personnel assigned by the contract. CU OGR personnel will retain the sole responsibility for communicating with Congress on behalf of CU Anschutz. The prospective firm’s primary objectives in supporting CU OGR’s mission for CU Anschutz will be: 1. Work with CU OGR/VCHA to review CU Anschutz’s research, academic, and clinical programs, and help to identify those that have the greatest potential for meeting defense and national security needs. 2. Provide training to CU Anschutz faculty members and staff on the best practices for seeking federal research funding and collaboration from defense and national security agencies. 3. Identify and inform CU OGR/VCHA of federal funding opportunities that correspond to CU Anschutz research and program priorities and strengths. 4. Analyze and inform CU OGR/VCHA of contemplated programmatic, legislative and regulatory changes that may positively or negatively affect programs of interest to CU Anschutz and recommend actions as appropriate.
