Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Contractor to provide all labor, supplies, and equipment necessary to conduct archaeological survey and produce a Class III Inventory Report for the SorghumScandard Chaining project area. The acreage to be surveyed totals 1,272 acres in one contiguous polygon (Map 1). The survey will be conducted on public lands in the Piceance Basin located approximately 30 miles Northwest of Rifle, Colorado (Map 2). • Vendors must provide a list of project leads (Permit Administrator, Principle Investigator, and all Field Crew Chiefs to be assigned to the contract) and their experience conducting cultural surveys in Northwest Colorado for similar scale projects on BLM lands. Permit Administrator, Principal Investigator, and Crew Chiefs must meet Individual Qualifications listed in the BLM Handbook of Guidelines and Procedures for Inventory, Evaluation, and Mitigation of Cultural Resources (March 2017 Revision). • Vendors must have a valid Colorado consulting archaeological permit (see attached BLM Handbook for more information). Bidders must also have, a Colorado Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation consulting permit prior to conducting work in the field office. In addition, the contractor must also carry a Fieldwork Authorization Form (FAF) at all times when conducting fieldwork. Vendor must contact the BLM White River Field Office archaeologist for the FAF after the contract is awarded. Prior to fieldwork the contractor will be responsible for contacting the WRFO archaeologist to discuss procedures for completing the pre-fieldwork records search, survey requirements, and report requirements.
