Colorado State University (CSU) is soliciting qualifications from qualified civil contractors for the replacement of a deteriorated domestic waterline, asphalt replacement and repair along Amy Van Dyken Way and University Avenue, and potential grading and surface improvement modifications. The utility work is comprised of traditional “open cut” methodology to install PVC waterline; in some locations, at the Contractor’s option, horizontal directional drilled HDPE pipe may be installed. Surface improvements are comprised of a combination of asphalt removal and replacement; asphalt mill and inlay; asphalt patching on Amy Van Dyken Way and University Avenue and a combination of grading modifications on University Avenue and in Parking Lot 349 and 350, curb and gutter replacement, concrete pavement and sidewalk installation, as well as modifications to existing landscaping and plantings. Work involves a variety of construction methodologies including traditional “cut and cover”, service connections, hydrant installation; installation of fittings, casing, valves, and other pipeline appurtenances as more specifically defined herein. The Work also includes road maintenance and repairs relating, but not limited to full depth asphalt, full depth concrete, asphalt inlay, curb & gutter, roadway striping and pavement markings, and site restoration as indicated on the drawings.
