SCOPE: This is a storm sewer replacement project that includes work at two separate locations (Main Street, 17th Avenue).
Schedule I consists of Main Street (US 287) Storm Sewer Improvements between 17th Avenue and 20th Avenue. The work includes removal and plugging (flow-fill) of existing storm sewer pipes, installation of new reinforced concrete pipe, inlet and manhole construction, pavement and site restoration.
Schedule II consists of 17th Avenue Storm Sewer Improvements between Main Street (US 287) and Corey Street. The work includes removal and plugging (flow-fill) of existing storm sewer pipes, installation of new reinforced concrete pipe, inlet and manhole construction, mechanical lowering of water line, pavement and site restoration.
The Contractor shall supply all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to complete the work in accordance with the project plans and specifications.
BID CONDITIONS: The City of Longmont is seeking qualified Contractors with applicable experience comparable to the Scope of Work, as described above, for the Storm Drainage Rehabilitation and Improvements project. All prospective bidders on this project must be prequalified with CDOT in at least one of the following CDOT work codes:
- 01 – General Construction,
- 02 – Grading (general),
- 09 – Structures,
- 10 – Small Bridges,
- 22 – Waterline;
or have satisfactorily completed a minimum of two projects within the last five years that included at least two of the following elements:
- Storm sewer projects with 30‐inch or larger diameter pipe
- Water line construction projects with 12-inch or larger pipe
- Pipeline (gravity or pressurized system) installation at a depth greater than 10’
- Construction projects on major arterial roads (ADT > 20,000 vpd) or state highways
It is mandatory that the Bidder fully completes the Bid Submittal Documents and provides all materials requested therein. The Bidder shall fully complete a separate copy of the “Bidder’s Comparable Project Data” (Attachment D) for each project submitted to meet the minimum mandatory qualifications stated above. Bidders that fail to comply with this requirement within 24 hours of the bid opening may be considered non‐responsive.
