Sources Sought for the City of Fountain, General Construction Services

The City of Fountain in Fountain, CO is issuing this sources sought solicitation. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information from qualified businesses and conduct market research and interest in an opportunity with the City of Fountain. This is not a request for proposal (RFP), and no solicitation is being issued at this time. The City of Fountain seeks potential sources to perform and complete a variety of general construction projects to support an anticipated Intergovernmental partnership between the City of Fountain and Fort Carson Army Post. Firms must be capable of managing large and small projects concurrently.
The following firms shall be involved in construction services for a broad range of building and civil works repair, maintenance, renovation and construction projects, in support of the Fort Carson Army Garrison. Projects are anticipated to be issued through a task-order type submission to the City of Fountain, to perform the construction related service on Fort Carson. Task orders could vary in size from $2,000 to $1 Million and will be awarded by the City of Fountain Intergovernmental Support Agreements (IGSA) Manager and administered by the Administration Department. Orders will primarily include repair and maintenance construction projects and may also include projects involving a variety of specific trades. Work performed under this anticipated contract may include but not be limited to, the following general project categories: construction, repair and alteration of various buildings, structures and facilities; electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems; earthwork; concrete and asphalt paving; deconstruction/demolition, roads, levees, impoundments, water control and pump stations, culverts, piers, boardwalks, gazebos, and other work items. The City of Fountain anticipates issuing task orders for the new construction, repair, renovation, improvement, and maintenance of building, structures, civil works and other facilities on Fort Carson.
It is anticipated the contract relationship with the City of Fountain may span 10 years, or longer, pending the establishment of an IGSA between the City of Fountain and Fort Carson. Wherein the prime contractor must perform at least 50 percent services, excluding the cost of materials, with its own employees and employees of a similarly situated subcontractor.
