Gilpin County Fair
The 2018 Gilpin County Fair will be celebrating its 26th Anniversary with exciting activities and performances for all ages. Enjoy free rides, a rodeo, petting zoo, merchandise booths, contests and much more. Join us August 18 and 19, 2018 at the Gilpin County Fairgrounds (located outside Black Hawk, CO). Rodeo Performance
Gilpin County Fair is seeking to provide an exciting, family-friendly rodeo performance the afternoon of Saturday, August 18, 2018. A minimum of 4 events should take place, lasting approximately 2 hours.

Service/Requirements

The Contractor must provide:

One 2-hour rodeo performance including at least 4 different events.
1. Two of the events must be bull riding and mutton busting.
2. Events may be traditional rodeo events or ranch rodeo events.
Cowboys for an autograph session.
Awards ceremony, possibly at a different location.
Added money and prizes for the Rodeo.
All stock necessary for the event.
All necessary personnel including, but not limited to:
1. Judges and flaggers
2. Announcer
3. Office personnel including secretary and timers
4. Bull fighters, pickup men and animal handlers
A clown for entertainment.
Veterinary care for any animals used in or associated with the Rodeo.
Public liability and property damage liability Insurance with “Gilpin County” as additional named insured in the amount of $1,000,000/$2,000,000.
Contractors must not employ illegal aliens.

Gilpin County Fair may provide:

Arena, bucking chutes, roping chutes, crows nest with sound system.
Reasonable arena preparation and maintenance.
Animal pens and water troughs.
Up to 6 cabin/hotel rooms.
Ambulance stationed during the event.

The term is for a 3 year period, subject to annual appropriations, with the option for 2 potential annual renewals at the same rate.

The County reserved the right to reject any or all proposals and accepts no responsibility for the cost of proposal preparation.
The County reserves the right to cancel the whole or any part of a contract issued as a result of this RFP due to failure of the Contractor to carry out any term, promise or condition of the contract. The County will issue a written notice of default to the Contractor for failing to act in compliance with the terms and conditions of such contract.
