Separate sealed bids for Peoria Street Widening Project; Douglas County Project Number DV 2018-178 will be received by the Owner, Douglas County Government, Department of Public Works Engineering, Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Suite 220, Castle Rock, CO 80104, until Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. This project consists of the placement of approximately 3,035 tons of asphalt pavement, 2,430 linear feet of curb and gutter, 7,685 square feet of median cover material, and 39 square yards of curb ramps, at the intersection of Peoria Street and Lincoln Avenue in Douglas County. Bid items also include landscaping, fiber conduit, trench drain, irrigation, landscaping and sod, erosion control, sign panels, construction staking and traffic control.
The Contract Documents will be available after 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020, through Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System Website (www.rockymountainbidsystem.com) or they may be obtained at the above address. Electronic versions of the Plans obtained by any other means than as described above may not be complete or accurate, and it is the Bidder’s responsibility to obtain a complete set of the Project Plans and Specifications. Douglas County will not be held responsible for misinformation received from private plan rooms.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at the Department of Public Works Engineering, Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Suite 220, Castle Rock, CO 80104. All questions are due to Daniel Roberts, P.E., Project Engineer by 12:00p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. The Bid Opening will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at the same address.
The Project includes the following major items and approximate quantities:
- 3,035 tons of asphalt pavement
- 2,430 linear feet of curb and gutter
- 7,685 square feet of median cover material
- 39 square yards of curb ramps
Prior to submitting a Bid Proposal, Bidders shall have received prequalification status (active status) with the Colorado Department of Transportation to bid on individual projects of the size and kind of work as set forth herein.
