The City and County of Broomfield is seeking a consultant or consultant team to provide professional services in the development of conceptual level design plans for multimodal improvements along Midway Boulevard between Lake Link Trail on the west, and continuing approximately 5.5 miles east to the Dry Creek Trail junction along Midway Boulevard, approximately 1000’ feet east of the Broomfield County boundary at Zuni. This project will investigate key multimodal transportation factors along the corridor that include traffic and safety analysis, identification of right-of-way needs, opportunities to improve multimodal capacity, and opportunities to improve active modes comfort and safety on the corridor for all ages and. This project will utilize community outreach with residents to provide information about corridor issues, and will develop concepts for consistent and connected multimodal facilities that will decrease the stress for active modes of all ages and abilities. Additionally, this project will evaluate existing and future crossing locations and other enhancements to connect key facilities including neighborhoods, schools, the trails network, parks, and open spaces. Finally, this project will evaluate and identify infrastructure improvements necessary to facilitate safe access ADA access to transit stops and stations.
