20495-HDF - High Density File System - CDOT New HQ

Qualified Suppliers are invited to bid on providing and installing high density file systems in 9 rooms under construction at the new CDOT Denver HQ, located at 2829 W. Howard Place.  The system is to be a mechanically-assist, high-density mobile storage system including support rails, track and fabrication including non-grouted leveling for track/rails.  This building is new construction and is fully sprinklered. 
 
Detailed floor-by-floor drawings and specifications dated December 11, 2017, are included in the bid package, including all accessory requirements. Structural floor loads per room is 250 lbs/sf.  Installation is to be with factory-certified installers; vendor to verify-field dimensions before ordering or manufacturing product.
 
Anticipate contract execution and Notice to Proceed by Friday, February 9, 2018; installation of all shelving units must be complete by Friday, April 6, 2018 or liquidated damages will apply.
 
Since this building is an active construction site, no un-scheduled visits are permitted by vendors.  All questions will be answered at the Mandatory pre-bid meeting to be held at the CDOT Property Management offices at the address listed below.  Submittals will be required by all vendors; per the documents, there is a basis of design and two additional approved vendors for the system.  Once the contract is awarded, a date and time will be scheduled for contractor field verifications.
