Colorado School of Mines (Mines) currently uses an on-campus server based ticketing software system to manage ticket sales for the University’s Athletics venues. These venues consist of Marv Kay Football Stadium, Lockridge Arena, Stermole Soccer Stadium and Volk Gymnasium. The University sells 80,000 tickets annually through the current ticketing system, exclusively with Athletics. The University sells these tickets in person, over the phone and through a secure web page. Mines is looking to expand this operation to include departments across campus.
Mines is looking for a web based ticketing software solution that will allow our centrally located ticket office to manage ticket operations for several campus partners including Athletics, Performing & Visual Arts, Graduation, and Student Activities. The software package should be flexible in its application to each area as well as in its reporting abilities. Also key to this project is the University’s desire for robust patron management capabilities that will assist the University in increasing sales and improving the customer experience. This includes the use of existing Mines credentials for Mines community member as well as a user-friendly guest account creation process. Mines anticipates growth in online sales in the near future, so a customer friendly user platform on the web is also highly desired.
