R18-034 NS - Deer Population Control

The City of Colorado Springs is requesting submissions from professional sharpshooters and/ or wildlife culling companies to coordinate the culling of the deer herds that reside within City limits to be conducted between the months of September and January.
 
The City plans to engage in a multi-year culling process to eliminate an estimated 200 deer per year for the next 5 years. After five years, the City will reevaluate the size of the herd in partnership with Colorado Parks and Wildlife to determine the culling needs moving forward. The City requests the RFI include a cost estimate for both deer culling and subsequent meat processing for donation to local food banks.
 
The City seeks the assistance of an organization or individual who has a proven track record in the ability to conduct large scale wildlife culling operations.
 
It is the City's intent in issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to determine whether there are a sufficient number of interested and qualified sources that can provide these services, and to determine a budgetary estimate for this service.
