The District’s PoE (Power over Ethernet) switch install base is aging and is in need of replacement. The original switches were installed during the Unified Communications Project to power phone handsets and other network devices. Today, additional devices requiring PoE have been added to the Jeffco network. The replacement switch solution will need to meet the power specifications for these new devices as well as the wireless access points and phone handsets.
