19-041 - Construction of Struthers Road - Gleneagle Drive Intersection Project

El Paso County proposes to construct intersection improvements at the Struthers Road-Gleneagle Drive intersection.  The work will generally consist of constructing a roundabout and associated approaches, and an underground drainage system and pedestrian improvements at the intersection and along the northeast side of Struthers Road. This Intersection is currently all way stop-controlled. Struthers Road is a divided four-lane roadway (with turn lanes), and Gleneagle Drive is a two-lane roadway. The property to the southwest of the Struthers Road-Gleneagle Drive Intersection is currently being developed and the private road, Gleneagle Gate View, was recently constructed.
 
Currently 3 of the 4 properties surrounding the intersection are still under the property acquisition process and are deemed no work zones. Until notified by the County, initial work will be restricted to the County Right of Way (ROW) and easements associated with Parcel 7201401004 (Peoples National Bank Colorado).  See Attachment 9 – ROW Plans for additional clarity.
