The primary objective of the concessionaire must always be to service the wants and needs of the golfing public. All other customer service activities are secondary to the concessionaire’s primary objective. As a public facility, the concession must offer a satisfying experience to the public. Services to be provided include, but are not necessarily limited to, those identified in the Concession License and Terms and Conditions included herein.

Course Overviews
1.City Park Golf Course Background
ATTENTION** The City Park concessionaire should be aware that City Park is undergoing renovations and will be closed until approximately summer 2019. As construction nears completion, the concessionaire will be notified of the opening date.
City Park is an 18-hole golf course expected to include: driving range, short game area, putting green, First Tee area, and clubhouse. The new concession area is expected to include views of the downtown skyline and mountain range, a golfer’s pub area which seats 40-60 guests, a larger partitionable room which will seat up to 160 guests, an outdoor patio, and potential to add a rooftop deck and beverage cart service. It is located in Northeast Denver.

2.Kennedy Golf Course Background
Kennedy Golf Course is a 27-hole championship course consisting of three 9-hole regulation courses and a 9-hole par 3 course. The course includes: a clubhouse, administration office, pro-shop, miniature golf course, and a driving range. The Kennedy concessionaire will manage the food and beverage operations, which includes a café by the mini golf course, beverage cart services on the course, and a large restaurant.

3.Overland Golf Course Background
Overland is an 18-hole regulation course with first class practice facilities, including: a driving range, putting and chipping green, pro shop, clubhouse, and small meeting room. The Overland concessionaire will manage a full-service restaurant, bar, small meeting room, and beverage cart services on the course. The Overland Music Festival will be held annually at the Overland Golf Course beginning in September 2018. For more details, see Section 6 below.

4.Willis Case Golf Course Background
Willis Case Golf Course is an 18-hole course that includes: a clubhouse, pro-shop, putting green, and snack shack. The Willis Case concessionaire will manage a large restaurant and bar with a patio area and event lawn and beverage cart services on the course.

Additional Bidding Instructions

The City and County of Denver, Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), wishes to enter into a concession license with a concessionaire for the exclusive right to sell quality food and beverages to the users of City Park, Kennedy, Overland, and Willis Case Golf Courses. While DPR prefers to retain a single vendor to provide services to all four (4) courses, proposals seeking to operate a concession at only one (1), two (2), or (3) of the courses will also be considered.

DPR is seeking a highly qualified and creative operator to contractually agree to handle the aforementioned concession services beginning January 1, 2018 through an expiration date of December 31, 2027.

As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director, “Director” of Parks and Recreation reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, proposals.
