B2000159 - Clerk and Recorder Facility Cabling

Weld County is requesting the cabling of the Weld County Clerk and Recorder Facility.   The project includes a total of 285 category 6 cables from a single data closets to specific locations on the same floor of the single-story building.  Of these 285 cables, 173 category 6 cables will be pulled to the data closet into a dedicated 19” open rack and be identified at “County”.  112 category 6 cables will be pulled to the data closet into a different dedicated 19” open rack and be identified at “State”  A total of three 19’ racks, patch panels, ladder rack and all other data closet equipment as specified is required.  4 Speaker cables are to be run from 4 locations with a 20’ coil left in the ceiling and be pulled to the data closet into a different dedicated 19” open rack and be identified as “Speaker” with a 10’ coil left in the data closet.  These will not be terminated on either end.  Specific details will be provided during the mandatory walk-through for all of the cabling components.   The project is considered an all-inclusive cabling turnkey solution.  Building electrical diagrams will not be provided as part of this initial solicitation but will be provided at a later time.
Contractors are to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and material as necessary for the copper, data closet and all other components of the installation project.  The project is to include the installation of specified cabling per the identified materials in the specification sheet.  The installation will use industry standards in addition to requirements listed in this bid.  Access into county facilities will be granted via escort and facility sign in will be required.  All cabling test results and as-built engineering documents are to be provided in both physical hard copy and electronically 30 days from project completion.  There shall be a warranty for all materials and labor for a period of not less than one full year after the work has been accepted by the County. This in no way limits or reduces the warranty offered by any manufacturer of material or equipment used in maintenance or repairs.  Full completion of the project needs to be no later than November 6, 2020.
Mandatory Pre-bid Walkthrough

A mandatory pre-bid walkthrough will be conducted on the date specified and commence at the Weld County Clerk and Recorder facility at 1250 H. Street, Greeley, CO 80634.  The purpose of this conference is to allow firms which may submit a bid an opportunity to present questions and obtain clarification relative to any facet of this bid.  Contractors must sign in and be in attendance during the entire mandatory pre-bid walkthrough to submit a bid.   Appropriate identification is required. 

Copper Requirements:
 

• CommScope 7504 Cat 6 Blue Cable
• All terminations must be tested to 250 MHZ and test sheets must be bound and given to technical services for future reference.
• All test documentation shall be delivered in hard and soft copy.   Test documentation will include build out floor plan and cable test results.
• All testing must be done with company owned equipment and Corning certified for fiber.
• Copper cable counts, locations and other requirements will be handed out at the mandatory pre-bid meeting.
• All cable runs will be home run from the distribution frame to each work area.
• Bridge taps and splices are not permitted as part of the horizontal cabling.
• Grounded cabling is not required .90 Meter maximum horizontal cable length.
• Provide neat cable management in the computer room.
• Commscope High Density Modular Patch Panels P/N 1375292 (2U-48) will be utilized for Data Closet Terminations
• Commscope SL110 Series Modular Jack to be utilize in conjunction with the Patch Panel for Data Closet Termination.
