Qualified Landscape Contractors are invited to bid on providing and installing landscaping and an above-ground irrigation system at an existing CDOT maintenance site near Gunnison, Colorado.
Landscaping work consists of planting, staking and mulching new trees and shrubs in the numbers and locations shown on the plans, as well as seeding with a native grass mix in non-irrigated areas that are disturbed by the contractor. The irrigation system shall pull water from an existing well onsite, and provide above-ground drip irrigation to the new landscape elements for establishment in the first two years. Work for the irrigation system shall include designing and installing the above-ground drip irrigation system and controls, protecting irrigation lines that cross internal roads onsite, and winterizing the irrigation system for the first two winters. Winterizing includes, but is not limited to, blowing out the irrigation lines and protecting and/or removing lines at internal roadways that will get plowed. The area to be landscaped is approximately 6.8 acres
