RFTA will accept Bids from qualified contractors to provide painting & drywall services on an
as-needed basis. RFTA has many facilities throughout the Roaring Fork Valley both commercial
and residential. The service provider will perform services in either scenario. Locations include:
• Aspen Maintenance Facility, Aspen
• Carbondale Maintenance Facility, Carbondale
• Carbondale Office, Carbondale
• Travelers Office, Glenwood Springs
• IT Office, Glenwood Springs
• Parker House Employee Housing, Carbondale
• Main Street Employee Housing, Carbondale
• Rubey Park Transit Center, Aspen
• Rio Grande Trail corridor between Glenwood Springs and Aspen
• RFTA bus stops located between Parachute and Aspen/Snowmass
Part II Specifications
The service provider must provide labor, tools, equipment, materials and supervision full, or
partial, painting projects, as needed by RFTA. All required surface preparations are included,
before all necessary priming and top coatings. All services will be performed in a professional
manner.
Services may include, but are not limited to:
• Work Site analysis;
• Interior and exterior painting;
• Surfaces may include, wood, fiber board, acoustic tile, concrete, plaster, masonry, stone,
and metal surfaces
• Conduct appropriate paint preparation;
o Protect area surrounding paint project;
o Patch or repair the painting surface;

o Primer and paint;
o Apply epoxy to industrial areas where requested;
o Apply graffiti resistant paint where requested;
o Floor painting;
o Drywall installation;
o Drywall patching on walls and ceilings;
o Taping, sanding and texturing drywall in preparation for paint;
o Other related and/or similar work as directed
• Painting locations include, Industrial facilities, Residential interior and exterior areas,
Park and Ride infrastructure, Bus Stops, and Rio Grande Trail amenities, such as picnic
areas, vault toilet facilities, trashcans, etc.
