Separate sealed bids for 2019 Traffic Signals Installation Project, Douglas County Project Number TF2018-037 will be received by the Owner, Douglas County Government, Department of Public Works Engineering, Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Suite 220, Castle Rock, CO 80104, until Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. This project consists of the installation of two new traffic signals, associated ITS and fiber communications equipment, the replacement of existing pedestrian curb ramps and associated roadway signage and striping, at two locations in northern Douglas County.
The Contract Documents will be available after 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2019, through Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System Website (www.rockymountainbidsystem.com) or they may be obtained at the above address. Electronic versions of the Plans obtained by any other means than as described above may not be complete or accurate, and it is the Bidder’s responsibility to obtain a complete set of the Project Plans and Specifications. Douglas County will not be held responsible for misinformation received from private plan rooms.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at the Department of Public Works Engineering, Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Suite 220, Castle Rock, CO 80104. All questions are due to Duane Cleere, P.E., P.T.O.E., Project Manager by 12:00pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. The Bid Opening will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at the same address.
The Project includes the following major items and approximate quantities:
- 1,305 LF 2 Inch Electrical Conduit
- 8 traffic signals (install only)
- 3,102 SF Concrete Pavement removal
- 2,929 SF Concrete pavement
- 1,920 SF 10’x2’ Crosswalks
Prior to submitting a Bid Proposal, Bidders shall have received prequalification status (active status) with the Colorado Department of Transportation to bid on individual projects of the size and kind of work as set forth herein.
