A research group within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University seeks firm pricing for the development and fabrication of an automated photovoltaic encapsulation system (APVES). The advanced APVES, will be specifically developed for applying a continuous bead of polymer sealant around the edges of solar modules. The system will dispense a uniform and reliable sealant bead on glass and similar substrates. The system will include a heavy-duty precision automated dispensing platform for dispensing thermoplastic and silicon seals.
