Summary of Specifications:
he scope of work consists of furnishing all supervision, labor, materials, tools, and equipment for performing all work necessary to provide for the performance of chemical root control of sewers throughout the City of Colorado Springs. CONTRACTOR will provide expert training to assure that quality training is provided to UTILITIES personnel to comply with EPA standards and to meet training requirements for other root control programs. UTILITIES Sanitary Sewer Wastewater Collection System contains a total of 6.5 million feet of pipe. Approximately 1,247,000 feet is currently chemically root controlled. Pipe that receives root control applications consists of 4”, 6”, 8”, 10” and 12” diameter VCP and other pipe materials.The chemical root control agent shall be Razorooter II™ or Sanafoam Vaporooter II, or equivalent.
