Description

UTILITIES is currently injecting PAC utilizing an Activated Carbon Injection System ("ACIS") for the removal of Mercury (Hg) from the flue gas stream of Drake Unit 6, Unit 7, and Nixon Unit 1. Drake Unit 7 is a one hundred forty two (142) Gross MW/Hr pulverized coal unit. Drake Unit 6 is an eighty five (85) Gross MW/Hr coal fired unit. Nixon Unit 1 is a two hundred twenty five (225) Gross MW/Hr coal fired unit with an ACIS system installed as part of a newly installed Sulfur Dioxide Scrubber. All three units are supplied coal from the Southern Powder River Basin ("SPRB").
