Background:
CDOT has a number of locations used for patrol headquarters as well as storage of multiple types of vehicles. CDOT Region 1, Section 5 is seeking contractors that can provide the Section with overhead service door repair and replacement for the various types of overhead service doors installed at these locations. These doors require regular maintenance and service for which CDOT does not retain qualified or licensed personnel. Various contractors have provided these services in the past. The purpose of this solicitation is to secure qualified contractors for these services.
Description of work and deliverables:
Successful bidders must have the ability to repair or replace various types and styles of both industrial and residential overhead service doors, as well as repair or replace the various types of door operator systems. The awarded contractors must be able to provide 24-hour service. This includes regular and after hour services for all facilities within the Section. Bidders will provide hourly rates for both regular and after hour service times. In addition, bidders will provide in their bid response the expected or anticipated response times for all locations within the Section. Hourly rates must be inclusive all fees (excluding parts and materials). CDOT will not reimburse for mileage or travel.
All parts and materials used for repairs must be of the type used in the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) installation unless approved by the Project Manager. If OEM parts and materials are not available, materials of similar type and quality are required. The contractor must offer fair and reasonable pricing for all parts, materials, and labor.
CDOT reserves the right to award to multiple vendors through this solicitation. When presented with a job of larger scope, CDOT may receive price quotes from contractors selected for award through this solicitation.
