R18-193 AD - North Nevada Ave Transit Corridor Analysis

The City of Colorado Springs’ Transit Services Division; Mountain Metropolitan Transit  (MMT) is conducting a transit corridor analysis on North Nevada Avenue, primarily between Garden of the Gods Road / Austin Bluffs Parkway on the north and Fillmore Street on the south. However, outside of this primary corridor are two major nodes of activity – UC–Colorado Springs and Downtown Colorado Springs – that are logical destinations anchoring the North Nevada Avenue corridor on both ends. Opportunities for transit operation exist outside of the North Nevada Corridor and include a railroad right-of-way and other parallel streets – these should be considered in the analysis. A consultant team will be selected, and will have knowledge and experience in developing transit corridor analyses and transit alternatives analyses per Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulations. The consultant is encouraged to make recommendations on the function or format of any element of this project. It is intended that this study will satisfy pre-NEPA requirements for the recommended transit service.
