Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall: A. Provide a Compact Disc (CD) of the specifications of the new replacement screw pump assemblies, drive motors, gearboxes, upper bearings, lower bearings, wear rings, belts, pulleys, and splash guards. A Purchase Order must be submitted to the CDCR Site Representative prior to ordering for audit and approval. B. Provide a portable pump capable of pumping the average flow of influent currently reported as 1.5 million gallons per day (MGD) to the headworks for the duration of the replacement of both 54” diameter enclosed screw pumps. The Contractor shall also have a backup portable pump in case of pump failure. C. Dis-assemble and remove the two (2) existing 54” diameter enclosed screw pump assemblies; drive motors, gearboxes, upper bearings, lower bearings, wear rings, belts, pulleys and splash guards. D. Transport and dispose of all removed equipment, parts and material to a scrap facility. This process will include confined space entry procedures defined by Cal/OSHA. E. Replace in-kind of equal or greater, two (2) new 54” enclosed screw pumps with the latest generation equipment as outlined in the CDCR Design Criteria Guidelines and current industry standards and practices. F. Replace oilers, two (2) speed drive motors, gearboxes, upper and lower bearings, wear rings, belts, pulleys and splash guards with the latest generation parts consistent with the WWTP’s original design for these assemblies. The new screw pump assemblies shall mimic that of the existing screw pump assembly while it is operational. The new enclosed screw pumps shall be connected using the existing system wiring and any damaged wire shall be replaced as needed. The Contractor shall also verify the name plate information replacements will meet the requirements from the old equipment for any or all screw pump motor and assemblies. G. Provide an operational training schedule to on-site plant operations staff on all facets of the enclosed screw pump operation and maintenance. H. Use the provided lay down area for equipment related to this project as necessary and work with the CDCR Site Representative for approval before any storage is authorized on-site at COR.
