Specifications include, but are not limited to: Providing emergency response, preventative maintenance, repairs and support of Vertical Transportation Systems for eighty-eight (88) vertical transportation units at thirty (30) County-owned locations. 1. The Contractor will inspect, test, maintain, repair or replace vertical transportation system (elevators, escalators and dumbwaiters) parts as required to provide continuously smooth, quiet, safe and proper operation of each vertical transportation system specified in Attachment E. Each piece of equipment specified in Attachment E will be inspected at a minimum once per month. Parts repair and/or replacement shall include, but not be limited to, control systems and components, electrical systems and components, mechanical systems and components, seismic and emergency controls (including broken or eroded seismic cables), emergency alarms and car communication phones. 2. The Contractor will regularly and systematically examine, adjust and lubricate all related components in accordance with the manufacturer’s preventative maintenance guides and submit the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to County prior to beginning the contracted work. 3. The Contractor shall provide additional services as required to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) and the High Desert Detention Center for non-routine and/or unforeseen events including but not limited to vandalism or abuse of the Vertical Transportation System.
