Specifications include, but are not limited to: The ambulance shall be equipped with heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems that operate using re-circulated air and ambient air and shall maintain interior temperature within the established comfort zone of 68 degrees Fahrenheit to 78 degrees Fahrenheit while operating between 0 degrees and 95 degrees Fahrenheit ambient. Environmental system components shall be readily accessible for servicing at the installed location. The airflow selector switch shall provide a high, medium and low setting. The switch shall be a common switch for both the heater and air conditioner. These environmental control switches shall be immediately accessible to the attendant while seated in the primary attendant seat located at the head of the primary patient.
