Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Long Beach (City), Department of Financial Management (Department), Fleet Services Bureau (Bureau) is requesting information from firms with software expertise in the performance of towing, vehicle dispatch and tracking, vehicle inventory management, vehicle release service, lien sales management and financial services integrated into the City’s current financial management software.The City is currently performing an assessment to identify its software and hardware needs to provide the following:• Control, measure, and account for towing service performance• Revenue collection related to all aspects of towing and lien sales• Complete management and processing of vehicle lien sales• Automate and integrate the dispatch processThe Towing Service Management System software will also provide MS Excel exportable reporting data on service call type, lot inventory, sales trends, and audit controls. This information will assist the City of Long Beach with the preparation of a request for proposal (RFP) for a new Fleet Services, Towing Management Software and Tracking System. In an attempt to identify all possible products available on the open market and gain information on these products, we are issuing this Request For Information (RFI). Procurement of the software is currently planned for mid, 2019.
