Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City proposes to upgrade certain signal lights along Dogwood Avenue and Danenberg Avenue on the South East section of the City of El Centro. The improvements will include providing wireless interconnection from the proposed intersections to the main city interconnection server located in the public works yard. Cabinet equipment and upgrades to signal light detection systems may be required in order to support the wireless interconnection and avoid false detection caused by low lying sun. Wireless repeaters may be required to provide line of sight to the wireless interconnection equipment. Upgrading of existing city servers and incidental infrastructure used at Public Works, along with updated software is required in order for proper connectivity to the proposed new interconnection infrastructure. The proposed improvements will improve signal timing to provide a reduction in greenhouse gases caused by unnecessary vehicle idling. Five intersections will be improved along Danenberg Drive and Dogwood Avenue along the North-West boundaries of the Imperial Valley Mall. The consultant will be responsible for providing a detailed project description, plans, bid schedules, bid item descriptions, payment methods, special provisions, technical specifications, and any specification detail sheets and/or relevant standard plans.
