Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1 Contractor shall provide technical expertise and consultation on County-wide employment development, partnership engagement, and funding opportunities to increase employment opportunities for incarcerated adult offenders. Services shall be coordinated and integrated with San Diego County Sheriff's Department (Sheriff), and operate through collaboration with regional collaborative, local employers, employment agencies, workforce partnerships, local government employment agencies, and other groups to develop new employment resources. As a result of these efforts, the incarcerated adult will secure new transitional and permanent employment upon release. 1.2 Employment is an opportunity for a participant being released from custody to have a successful reentry into the community. Supported Employment is a key strategy for meeting both the employment and service needs of formerly incarcerated adult target population. These services should reduce the return to custody.
