Specifications include, but are not limited to: Collection of Refuse: The Contractor shall empty each container and pick up any spillage occurring while emptying the container. No refuse shall be allowed to remain in the container after emptying. The contractor shall use diligence and care to prevent damage to containers. After emptying the container it shall be replaced where found and the lid or top set in place. Other Refuse: The Contractor shall not be responsible for refuse not placed in the refuse containers, provided, however, small paper cartons set beside the refuse containers shall be hauled at no extra cost to the State. Maintenance of Metal Bunkers and Bins Owned by the Contractor: The Contractor shall ensure that the metal bunkers and bins are maintained in good condition by performing periodic painting, repair, or replacement, at no expense to the State. The State reserves the right to indicate an appropriate color for the bunkers and/or bins. Disposal of Refuse: Disposal of refuse shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor provided, however, no refuse shall be disposed of within the boundaries of the State Park. Said disposal of refuse shall meet the requirements of the U.S. Forest Service, local health authorities, and all local laws, rules, and regulations.
